ALABAMA CORROSION COORDINATING COMMITTEE (ACCC) MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT Please be advised that the next Alabama Corrosion Committee Meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 10th in Birmingham at the Winfrey Hotel. The Alabama Natural Gas Association is providing a room for us at 3:30pm in the Yorkshire Room or Riverchase A. This meeting is part of the ANGA Spring Conference. Our speaker is Greg Williams of AGL Resources. Greg initiated and has run the pilot program with the Georgia Corrosion Committee which involves close interfacing with the State One Call Program. This program involves having the One Call technicians locate and flag cathodic protection systems in an effort to dramatically reduce 3rd party damage of CP systems. If you don't make another meeting all year, make this one! Representatives of the Alabama One Call Program will also attend this meeting with our ultimate goal being to bring this unprecedented program approach to Alabama. The Winfrey is located in the Galleria in Riverchase on Highway 31, one exit west of I-65 in Hoover, Alabama. This is without question the most important meeting in the short history of our Corrosion Committee!
